Greg Miller serves as Charter Capital’s General Manager and Partner. He is responsible for the sales, credit and documentation along with developing programs to drive revenue. Greg not only brings with him his prior industry knowledge, but also a decade of extensive sales and management experience in several large corporations. Greg Miller is an Arizona native and a loyal Phoenix Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks fan. Greg attended Arizona State University and then graduated in 1985 from Northern Arizona University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. In 1987, Greg began his career in the equipment leasing and financing industry in Southern California. During his eight years in the financing industry, Greg worked in sales and management to help grow a start up lease broker, Balboa Capital. In 1991, Greg started his own finance company which was acquired by Charter Capital in 1992. Greg left the leasing industry in 1994 and moved back to Arizona to pursue a career in technology. He spent the next ten years working for severalFortune 500 companies, such as Computer Associates, Avnet, Inc. and StorageTek, but missed the flexibility and opportunities a smaller company had to offer. So in 2004, Greg returned to the equipment financing business by joining Charter Capital as a partner and General Manager. Greg is on the Board of Directors for The Boys & Girls Clubs and a member of the Executive Council. In 2008, Greg was the Chairman of Taste of Phoenix (www.tastephx.com) and the Executive Council donated over $1.2 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs. In addition, Greg has served on the board of Child Abuse Prevention Arizona and is a member of the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce. Not only is Greg dedicated to his work and community, he is also a devoted husband and father. He has been married to his wife, Julia, for 14 years and has two wonderful and energetic children, Mia (11) and Matthew (9). Between work and fundraising, he coaches his kids’ soccer teams. Greg enjoys playing the piano and guitar and is always striving to improve his golf game. “During my professional career I have been on both sides of the equation: I had the opportunity to run my own financing company and to work for Fortune 500 companies.
